[Milliways]: An American in Paris

Orpheus' flat in Paris is above a little boulangerie in the Latin Quarter, not too terribly far from Notre Dame. It's...very small, and that isn't helped by the musical instruments and half-finished, scribbled sheet music that are littered around the place. Everything is clean, just cluttered. It's a bit stuffy as well, though Orpheus has all his windows open.

As they step into the living room, Orpheus turns to Steve with a smile. "Bienvenue à Paris," he says.

"That's some really good chocolate," Steve murmurs.

"I told you," Orpheus says.

"I believed you even before I had my first piece."

Orpheus laughs. "Good to know."

Steve drinks some lemonade. Palate cleanser.

"I like this place."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus smiles, nodding. "Paris has fantastic gardens."

"The sculptures, the Ferris wheel...

"I'd suggest we go look at them if I didn't want to do something else much more."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus smirks. "Oh?" He asks, all innocence. "What's that?"

Steve gives him a duh look and eats another piece of chocolate.

"You're right," Orpheus says, sitting back. "It is really good chocolate."

Steve folds the bag closed again. "Wanna go back to your place?"

[golden_lyre]

"For the chocolate?" Orpheus asks.

"With the chocolate."

[golden_lyre]

"Hmm...I suppose we could do that."

[thekidfrombrooklyn]

"Unless you'd rather enjoy the day."

Because it is rather lovely.

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus smiles. "I can see Paris anytime, lovely. This is your day."

Steve caresses Orpheus's cheek.

"Back to your place, then. I think you said we could take the Metro?"

[golden_lyre]

"Yes, we can," Orpheus says, pulling himself to his feet and picking up his guitar.

Steve tucks the bag under his arm and takes Orpheus's hand.

[golden_lyre]

"Careful of those macarons," Orpheus says, slinging his guitar across his back and heading for the nearest Metro station.

Steve moves the bag out of the crook of his arm to hold it.

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus smiles and kisses his cheek.

Steve leans his head on Orpheus's shoulder for a moment as they walk.

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus chuckles softly and lifts Steve's hand to kiss the back.

Steve gives him a thoughtful look once again, but just smiles.
