Orpheus juggles the bottles and his key to get the door unlocked so Steve doesn't have to put down the pizzas, and he pulls out the little table to put the drinks on once they're inside.

"Something funny, huh?"

Orpheus returns the kiss slowly. "Am I now?"

"Yes," Steve whispers between kisses, "yes, darlin', you are."

"I'm glad you think so," Orpheus murmurs.

Steve nuzzles him, eyes closed, fingers playing through Orpheus's hair.

"I'm crazy about you. My beautiful music man."

[golden_lyre]

"Crazy about me, huh?" Orpheus says softly, leaning into the touch.

Steve rubs his cheek on Orpheus's. "Absolutely bonkers. Ga-ga. Nutso."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus giggles. "Nutso..."

Steve shrugs a shoulder, smiling. "You make my head spin," he tries and rubs their noses together.

"You should see someone about that," Orpheus says with a laugh.

"I think it's from the heavy sighing," Steve says, and presses his mouth to Orpheus's neck to sigh deeply and contentedly against his skin.

Orpheus laughs again, trailing his fingers down the back of Steve's neck. "Yeah, that would make you dizzy."

"You're also delicious," Steve murmurs and licks his neck.

[golden_lyre]

"Mm, so are you, lovely," Orpheus murmurs.

Steve laughs and kisses down his shoulder.

Orpheus hums low in his throat, a soothing, satisfied sound.

Steve lays his head on Orpheus's chest with a low grumble of his own. His thumb strokes Orpheus's hip bone.

Orpheus' fingers trail idly over Steve's back.

"No place I'd rather be," Steve murmurs, and swallows the words that want to come next.

It's getting harder and harder, though.

Orpheus kisses his hair, humming softly, utterly oblivious to Steve's dilemma.

Just as well.

Steve traces his fingers over Orpheus's stomach, idly drawing circles and swirls.

[golden_lyre]

"When do you have to go back?" Orpheus murmurs, nuzzling Steve's hair.

[thekidfrombrooklyn]

"It doesn't need to be for a few days. We're kind of in a holding pattern right now. Something big is coming up, and we're waiting to get some intelligence confirmed about something else..." He props his chin on Orpheus's chest to look at him. "Would you like me to stay a while?"

[golden_lyre]

"I'd be pleased if you did," Orpheus says. He's not going to ask, though. He wants Steve to choose on his own.

"Then I will," Steve says and kisses his mouth.

Orpheus kisses him back slowly, fingers tangling in his hair.
