[Milliways]: An American in Paris

Orpheus' flat in Paris is above a little boulangerie in the Latin Quarter, not too terribly far from Notre Dame. It's...very small, and that isn't helped by the musical instruments and half-finished, scribbled sheet music that are littered around the place. Everything is clean, just cluttered. It's a bit stuffy as well, though Orpheus has all his windows open.

As they step into the living room, Orpheus turns to Steve with a smile. "Bienvenue à Paris," he says.

Orpheus flicks his tongue lightly against Steve's lips as he pulls away.

"Mmm, yes," he says, smirking. "I think we'll have to get some of those."

He asks the girl for a box of assorted chocolates as well.

Steve tries not to look like he's picturing Orpheus naked right now.

The girl laughs as she puts together their order, and tosses in a small box with a few extras.

All the while, Orpheus does not at all try to hide the fact that he's picturing Steve naked.

"Thank you so much," Steve tells the girl as he takes Orpheus's hand again.

Orpheus thanks her as well, taking the bag with a smile. She tells them to enjoy their visit.

Steve just beams, which needs no translation.

[golden_lyre]

"So," Orpheus says as they leave. "Unless you want to explore the rest of this little shopping center, I thought we could take our chocolate to the Tuileries Garden."

"The garden, please."

He hesitates. "Unless we should go back to your place."

[golden_lyre]

"I thought you were worried about not getting out of bed," Orpheus says, smiling.

"I wasn't worried," Steve says.

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus laughs. "Would you like the skip the garden, lovely?"

Steve shifts from foot to foot. "I want to see the gardens, but I want to get you back into bed, too."

[golden_lyre]

"I'll tell you what," Orpheus says with a smile. "We can snog in the garden, and we'll take the Metro back to my place."

Steve laughs. "Deal.

"Lead the way, darlin'."

[golden_lyre]

"Yes, sir," Orpheus says, giving him a sloppy salute and leading him back out past the pyramid again.

"That salute is a disgrace, soldier," Steve says, smiling.

[golden_lyre]

"That's not how we saluted in my army," Orpheus offers.

"How did they salute in your army?"

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus crosses one arm across his chest, hand in a fist.

[thekidfrombrooklyn]

"Hm. Not bad.

"I like mine, though." He makes a sharp salute.

[golden_lyre]

"Of course you do," Orpheus says with a fond smile.

"Yeah, yeah," Steve says good-naturedly, taking Orpheus's hand again. "Captain America thinks American things are best. Yeah, yeah."

"It's cute," Orpheus says. "Patriotic without being jingoistic."

[thekidfrombrooklyn]

"Well, that's the ideal."

[golden_lyre]

"You do it well," Orpheus says, leading him into the garden.
