Orpheus had dutifully eaten, if not as much as Steve wanted him to, at least enough to be able to say he was taking care of himself.

And after...well, upstairs had seemed like a good idea. Especially good considering this was the first time it was Orpheus who hadn't seen Steve in over a month rather than the other way around. He tugs Steve into the room with a smile, not willing to let go of him even for a second.

Steve nods and tucks his head against Orpheus's neck.

Orpheus curls his arms around Steve, burying his face in Steve's hair.

"You can get your stuff later, yeah?"

"Yeah," Steve murmurs. "Later.

"I'm sorry I overreacted." He kisses Orpheus's neck.

"It's not your fault," Orpheus says quietly. "You're new to it all, and I'm...pretty shitty at it."

Steve kisses his neck a few more times.

"I'll get better at it if you will."

"I'll try," Orpheus murmurs.

"That's all I ask for, darlin'. That you try."

"I can promise you that much."

Steve smiles and strokes Orpheus's chest.

Orpheus kisses his hair with a faint smile of his own.

"I've drawn nothing but your hands lately."

Orpheus lets those hands slide over Steve's back. "You've shown up in my music pretty often too."

Steve picks up Orpheus's nearest hand and kisses his palm.

Orpheus strokes his cheek.

Steve says softly, "Do you wanna fool around some more?"

Orpheus smiles. "Do you?"

"So very much," Steve breathes and kisses him.

Orpheus shifts to pull him closer, returning the kiss.

"That was a yes, right?" Steve whispers.

"Yeah, that's definitely a yes," Orpheus murmurs, hands wandering down to Steve's ass.

Steve chuckles and kisses him, fingers sliding into Orpheus's hair.

"Good," he whispers, barely lifting his lips. "Good."

Orpheus hitches him closer, his own hips pushing forward. He slides his hand into the back of Steve's trousers.

Steve presses against him and kisses him harder.

Orpheus groans softly into the kiss, curling a leg around him.

Steve runs a hand up Orpheus's thigh.
