Orpheus pauses outside his door and turns to smile at Steve.

"Well? You've got the key."

"For a long time it was because Apollo comes here. Even if I didn't see him while I was here, knowing that made me want to be here."

Steve nods slowly. "Having him here must be comforting."

"He's not even the Apollo from my world," Orpheus says. "But it had been so long since I'd seen him. I'd given up hope of ever seeing him again.

"Of ever seeing any of my family again."

"And now you've got him and your aunt...who else?"

[golden_lyre]

"I've seen quite a few others," Orpheus says. "Artemis and Aphrodite, Epimetheus, Ganymede... There's nowhere else I could meet so many like me.

"It's more like home than home."

"I'm glad," Steve says softly. "I'm glad you've got people like you around."

Orpheus kisses his hair. "There are other incentives for coming here often, of course."

"The burgers," Steve says with a straight face.

[golden_lyre]

"How did you guess?" Orpheus says, laughing.

"Artists are very observant," Steve says primly.

"Apparently not that observant," Orpheus answers dryly.

Steve laughs and kisses him.

Orpheus kisses him back, arms wrapping around him.

"Tell me one thing," Steve says. "Do you miss me when I'm not around?"

Orpheus' brow furrows, and he looks at Steve seriously for a long moment. "Sometimes," he says softly.

"I'll take that," Steve murmurs with another soft kiss.

Orpheus returns the kiss with a faint smile.

Steve moves onto his side to make it more comfortable for both of them to snuggle and smooch.

Orpheus shifts with him, curling an arm around Steve's waist.

"So what do you wanna do now, music man?" Steve murmurs.

Orpheus smiles, nuzzling Steve's nose with his. "Hm...anything you want."

Steve laughs again. "Honey, you know I can't suggest anything you haven't done a thousand times before."

"Yes, but you've been fantasizing for two months since you saw me last."

"Ah," murmurs Steve and his fingers drift down Orpheus's chest. "You want to know about those.

"There's nothing that extravagant. Just you...me...whatever boardng house or hotel I was in that night..."

"Of course I want to know about those," Orpheus says with a grin.

"And what are we doing in those boarding houses and hotels?"
