[Milliways]: Breaking the dry spell

Orpheus is trying very hard not to just drag Steve up the stairs to their room. Despite having been waiting in the bar, he hasn't been spending much time here at all. It made him think far too much of Steve, and the drawings Steve had left for him didn't really help on that score.

He manages to restrain himself, though, as he unlocks the door.

Orpheus takes another deep breath. That feels, somehow, like even more to live up to, even though he knows he's been doing that already.

Steve has managed something that only Apollo has been capable of so far. He's robbed Orpheus of words. So instead, he kisses Steve slow and sweet, and finally murmurs, "I believe in you too."

Steve smiles and pulls Orpheus on top of him so they can make out for a while.

And that is so much better than trying to talk about things, as far as Orpheus is concerned, so he makes no protest whatsoever.

Talking can wait. Kissing is fun.

Orpheus is inclined to agree. Or he would be if his mind were not more pleasantly occupied.

Steve strokes Orpheus's back as they kiss, and lightly scratches along his spine.

Orpheus makes a soft, pleased noise as he does, his own fingers tracing along Steve's arms.

Steve hums back in response, low and growly.

Orpheus nips at his lip, deepening the kiss.

Steve hitches them closer, his arms going around Orpheus's waist.

Orpheus groans softly, arching into him.

"What would you like to do now, lovely?"

"Anything you want to do, darlin'," Steve murmurs, arching right back. His face is soft with bliss.

Orpheus chuckles. "This is supposed to be your party."

"I had a great time, and I wanna make you happy, too."

[golden_lyre]

"There's not much you could do in bed that wouldn't make me happy," Orpheus points out, pushing himself up a little to then bend and kiss along Steve's collar bone.

Steve tilts back his head with a soft moan. "Still so much to learn," he whispers.

Orpheus nibbles lightly at the bone, his fingers sliding down Steve's sides. "There's time for all that."

"Yeah," Steve murmurs, "time, I got." He rakes his hand through Orpheus's hair.

Orpheus hums softly, licking at the hollow of his throat.

Steve tilts his head back farther, then says, "Remember that time you blindfolded me?"

Orpheus chuckles deeply. "I remember."

"We could. Do that. Again."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus smirks and pushes himself up. "Would you like to do that, lovely?"

Steve bites his lip and nods.

Orpheus smiles and kisses him deeply before pushing himself up off the bed to find something to use as a blindfold.
