Orpheus wasn't entirely sure the ring would work as a way for him to get to Steve's world, but he was going to give it a shot. If it didn't work, he'd explain it to Steve the next time they were both in the bar, and they could figure something else out.

His guitar slung across his back, Orpheus turns the ring on his finger and opens the door, pleased to find himself in Steve's apartment when he steps through.

"In that case, I put myself in your hands."

Steve pulls on his T-shirt. "I'll take you where my assistant usually goes for me," he decides. "She says it's easy to shop for me--she just has to think like her grandpa--but I'm sure we can find something there you like."

"Yes," Orpheus says, tugging on his own shirt. "I don't want to come out of this looking like her grandpa."

Steve looks down at his white T-shirt and khakis. "This doesn't seem that old-fashioned, does it?"

[ooc: still packing, so will be slow.]

Orpheus looks him over. "It suits you."

"But do I look... odd? I get looks a lot."

Oh, Steve.

He chuckles. "People stare because you're hot, lovely."

"Oh, that," Steve says and pulls on a plaid shirt. "I suppose that's better than because I dress wrong.

"Though that seems hard to do nowadays."

[golden_lyre]

"To dress wrong? I suppose so?"

"I could color my hair green and stick a safety pin through my nose," Steve says and picks up his boots. "Not that I'd want to, but people do."

"There are some places you could go where that would be dressing wrong."

"Like where I want to take you tonight," Steve says with a grin, and finishes tying his boots. "Ready?"

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus smiles and pulls on his last shoe. "Whenever you are, lovely."

"C'mon," says Steve, picking up his jacket, and reaches for Orpheus's hand.

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus takes it easily, smiling as he does. "So, dinner and a show? What do you want to see?"

"Oh, that's a good question," Steve says as they leave the apartment. "Whatever we can get into this late, I suppose. Or maybe a movie if there aren't any available tickets for a play. There are some good art houses in the neighborhood that show things I'd like to see."

[golden_lyre]

"What, SHIELD doesn't have a guy who can get you last minute box seats?" Orpheus teases.

"They probably do," Steve says seriously, "but it seems like an abuse of position to ask."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus laughs. "You are so good, lovely."

[thekidfrombrooklyn]

"I'd hate for people to think some kind of entitled jerk."

[golden_lyre]

"I can't imagine who would ever think that of you."

[thekidfrombrooklyn]

Steve swings Orpheus's hand a little. "I'll try to keep it that way."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus stops to kiss him, then.

Steve softly laughs and holds Orpheus's face in one hand as they kiss.

Orpheus smiles as he steps back. "I do love you, Galahad."
