Orpheus wasn't entirely sure the ring would work as a way for him to get to Steve's world, but he was going to give it a shot. If it didn't work, he'd explain it to Steve the next time they were both in the bar, and they could figure something else out.

His guitar slung across his back, Orpheus turns the ring on his finger and opens the door, pleased to find himself in Steve's apartment when he steps through.

"Love you," Orpheus echoes, running a hand up Steve's spine.

Steve leads them to the sink and starts the water running. "I especially love you like this," he says in a low voice.

"Like what?" Orpheus asks, head tilted, smiling. "Naked?"

"Yes," says Steve as he gets a washcloth. "Naked, sweaty, covered in come..." He kisses Orpheus's shoulder before starting to wash his stomach.

Orpheus laughs. "I never would have thought it of you when we first met."

"I had no idea how sexy I'd find it when we first met," Steve replies.

[golden_lyre]

"I'd be willing to bet you hadn't even given it a thought when we first met."

[thekidfrombrooklyn]

"I hadn't." He brushes water droplets from Orpheus's skin. "I hardly thought about sex at all, let alone what I found sexy."

[golden_lyre]

He smiles, shaking his head, and takes the cloth from Steve. "I find that so hard to imagine."

Steve leans back against the sink. "It just wasn't important to me. I had school and work to keep me occupied."

Orpheus moves to clean between Steve's thighs. "Even so. You truly are Galahad."

Steve chuckles, watching Orpheus. "I... have no idea what to say to that."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus leans in to kiss him. "Don't say anything, then."

Steve can do that. He kisses Orpheus back instead.

Orpheus smiles against his lips, pulling back with a grin when he's finished washing Steve.

Steve smiles too, holding Orpheus's face. "Would you like to go out tonight? Dinner and a play, maybe?"

"That sounds lovely."

He pauses and looks down at himself.

"I didn't really bring anything to wear, though."

[thekidfrombrooklyn]

"We could go shopping."

[golden_lyre]

"We could, if you're up for that."

[thekidfrombrooklyn]

"Oh, I'm up for it.

"What kind of shops do you usually go to?" He catches Orpheus's hand and pulls him back to the living room so they can get dressed.

[golden_lyre]

"That depends on what kind of clothes I need," Orpheus says, picking up his discarded clothes as they go.

"If we're going out tonight, there's no time to find a tailor," Steve muses as he pulls on his trousers. "I don't think a suit is really necessary, though. Maybe just a jacket and nice pants."

"In that case, I put myself in your hands."

Steve pulls on his T-shirt. "I'll take you where my assistant usually goes for me," he decides. "She says it's easy to shop for me--she just has to think like her grandpa--but I'm sure we can find something there you like."

"Yes," Orpheus says, tugging on his own shirt. "I don't want to come out of this looking like her grandpa."
