[Milliways]: Breaking the dry spell

Orpheus is trying very hard not to just drag Steve up the stairs to their room. Despite having been waiting in the bar, he hasn't been spending much time here at all. It made him think far too much of Steve, and the drawings Steve had left for him didn't really help on that score.

He manages to restrain himself, though, as he unlocks the door.

"You can show me all of it," Orpheus says, stroking Steve's cheek. "Everything that's the same and everything that's new."

"I will," Steve says and kisses Orpheus's cheek.

"Do you think you'd like to come on the road trip with me?"

Orpheus laughs softly and moves to stretch out on the bed. "You'd want me to?"

"Of course I do." He reclines on his side. "I understand if you'd rather not, though. You and me and a motorcycle, sounds like a terrible time..."

He gives Orpheus a mischievous look through his lashes.

"I was just thinking," Orpheus says, his hand settling on Steve's hip, "that it's a lot of ground to cover with me on your back."

"I don't mind you on my back," Steve murmurs and leans in to kiss him.

[golden_lyre]

"I've noticed," Orpheus whispers, returning the kiss.


[ooc: I think it's bedtime for me.]

"I could probably borrow a car..."

Orpheus shakes his head. "I like the idea of you on a motorbike. It feels right."

"Come with me," Steve coaxes between kisses. "I've never really seen the country properly and I want to, with you."

[golden_lyre]

"All right," Orpheus murmurs, rubbing their noses together. I'll come with you."

Steve beams and hugs Orpheus.

(He likes hugging, too. Not as much as kissing, but there are very few things he likes as much as kissing.)

Orpheus smiles and curls into Steve's arms.

"Kiss me again, my love."

Steve cradles Orpheus's face and kisses him, slow and deep.

Orpheus slides both arms around him, hands trailing over Steve's back.

"What do you want to do, honey?" Steve growls.

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus slides his fingers down the back of Steve's neck. "Whatever you want, lovely."

He doesn't want to push. Not after seventy years.

Steve kisses him deeper. "First, I want to take off all your clothes."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus smiles. "We can definitely do that."

"...and take off all of mine..."

[golden_lyre]

"We can do that as well," Orpheus says, his hands moving to unbutton Steve's shirt.

"...and then do what comes naturally."

[golden_lyre]

"All very manageable," Orpheus murmurs, leaning in to kiss the corner of Steve's mouth as he slowly opens his shirt.

Steve watches his hands, then murmurs, "What's Pilates?"

Orpheus laughs.

"What made you think of that?"
