[Milliways]: An American in Paris

Orpheus' flat in Paris is above a little boulangerie in the Latin Quarter, not too terribly far from Notre Dame. It's...very small, and that isn't helped by the musical instruments and half-finished, scribbled sheet music that are littered around the place. Everything is clean, just cluttered. It's a bit stuffy as well, though Orpheus has all his windows open.

As they step into the living room, Orpheus turns to Steve with a smile. "Bienvenue à Paris," he says.

Steve takes the bottle and pours some into his hand, then spins his finger in the air. "Turn, please."

Orpheus smirks and turns for him.

Steve suds up his hair. He's gentle about it.

Orpheus closes his eyes, humming softly in appreciation.

Steve kisses his shoulder. "Head back now."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus obediently tips his head back.

Steve directs the shower spray onto Orpheus's hair, running his fingers through it to help rinse.

Orpheus keeps humming softly, reaching a hand back to touch Steve's hip.

"Don't start that," Steve murmurs, but kisses his neck anyway. "We have plans for the rest of the day."

"I'm only touching you, lovely," Orpheus protests.

[thekidfrombrooklyn]

"Touching leads to kissing, kissing leads to fondling..." He chuckles. "Now I sound like the nuns at school who insisted holding hands made you pregnant."

"Mmhm. Next thing you know, you'll be saying you don't want me to touch you at all..."

"Let's not be ridiculous," Steve murmurs and kisses his neck again.

[golden_lyre]

"Just extrapolating from what you're giving me," Orpheus points out. He turns and picks up the shampoo bottle.

"Turn."

Steve turns. "I'm not worried about you getting me pregnant."

[golden_lyre]

"No, but you were worried about us not getting to the rest of our day."

He lathers the shampoo into Steve's hair.

"We have a flight out tomorrow. If we don't get to the rest of our plans today, we won't get to them at all."

He bounces a little on his toes. Flying. In a non-army transport.

Orpheus laughs. "Tilt your head back, lovely," he says.

Steve obeys, still smiling.

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus rinses his hair quickly.

Steve shakes out his hair again. "Thanks, darlin'."

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus smiles. "Let me teach you one more thing," he says and reaches for a bottle of conditioner.

"Okay." Readily.

[golden_lyre]

Orpheus grins then. "Conditioner," he says, holding up the bottle and squeezing some into his hand. "Makes your hair soft and sleek and keeps it from getting static. Without making it greasy like oils do."

"I never use hair oil," Steve murmurs.

The serum even improved his hair.
