Orpheus wasn't entirely sure the ring would work as a way for him to get to Steve's world, but he was going to give it a shot. If it didn't work, he'd explain it to Steve the next time they were both in the bar, and they could figure something else out.

His guitar slung across his back, Orpheus turns the ring on his finger and opens the door, pleased to find himself in Steve's apartment when he steps through.

"I won't even have to clear out closet space for you," Steve says. "I've got more space than I know what to do with. Or do you want to find another apartment? I bet SHIELD would help me find another apartment if we wanted one. Oh, god, SHIELD--I hope there's not some kind of security thing you have to pass. I don't know how we'd explain everything."

"They regulate your love life?" Orpheus asks, incredulous, looking around the apartment to see how he'd feel about staying more permanently.

"Not that I know of," Steve says to assure him, and strokes his face. "They're kind of omnipresent, is all."

"Hmmm..."

That will take some getting used to.

"Well...we could look for a new place if you wouldn't mind."

"I don't mind. I don't really like this place. It's kind of... blank, don't you think?"

He looks around, too. "How do you feel about Brooklyn?"

He smiles. "That's where you lived before, isn't it?"

"Yup. It's changed some but it still feels like home."

[golden_lyre]

"Let's look there, then."

Steve kisses him, with a soft, "Thank you, honey."

[golden_lyre]

"Of course," Orpheus murmurs, kissing him again.

"I know it's not as glamorous as Paris..."

Orpheus's face gets kissed, too.

Orpheus chuckles. "New York has a glamorous side," he says, closing his eyes as Steve kisses him.

"Do you want glamor, honey?" Steve whispers and kisses down his neck. "I'm told I clean up well."

[golden_lyre]

"We could get glamorous sometimes," Orpheus says, tilting his head to the side. "And you do clean up...very well."

Steve whispers, "I'll even wear a tux for you," and licks his ear.

Orpheus shivers. "Can I peel it off you later when we're alone? Piece by piece?"

"Oh yes, please do," Steve whispers.

[golden_lyre]

"Slowly," Orpheus murmurs. "Bit by bit baring your skin to my touch."

Steve smiles and whispers, "I could put on my dress uniform and you could do that right now."

Orpheus smiles. "Another time. It's better if I'm thinking about it all night first."

Steve smiles naughtily. "The anticipation. I get it."

He dips his head and whispers in Orpheus's ear, "Take off my clothes."

Grinning, Orpheus reaches for Steve's shirt, pulling it up. "Anytime you want, lovely."

Steve grins too as he raises his arms over his head.

Orpheus gets the shirt off and tosses it away, kissing him slowly as his hands slide down Steve's stomach.

Steve shivers under his touch, and breathes, "Oh, darlin'..."
