Orpheus wasn't entirely sure the ring would work as a way for him to get to Steve's world, but he was going to give it a shot. If it didn't work, he'd explain it to Steve the next time they were both in the bar, and they could figure something else out.

His guitar slung across his back, Orpheus turns the ring on his finger and opens the door, pleased to find himself in Steve's apartment when he steps through.

Steve chuckles. "Doesn't matter, huh, as long as it's us?"

"Yes," Orpheus says softly, kissing along his jaw.

Steve closes his eyes, inhaling sharply.

Orpheus nips along the line of his jaw, humming pleasure and arousal over his skin.

Steve moves onto his side, his head tilted back. He's beginning to breathe a little harder.

Orpheus settles in behind him, lips and teeth moving along his neck and shoulder as his hand strokes over Steve's chest and belly.

Steve moans, thrusting his hand into Orpheus's hair.

"Beautiful." Orpheus presses himself fully against Steve's back, his hand moving to tease over Steve's nipples.

"Do what you want to me," Steve whispers.

"Everything," Orpheus murmurs, his hips rolling forward.

Steve presses back to him with a soft curse.

Orpheus chuckles lightly, nuzzling the back of his neck. "Oh, that's it, is it?"

"What?" Steve whispers, dazed.

[golden_lyre]

"That's what you want," Orpheus whispers, his hand sliding down Steve's stomach as he rolls his hips forward again.

Steve moans more loudly. "I like knowing how much you want me."

"I always want you, lovely," Orpheus murmurs, his free hand moving to undo his jeans and shove them down.

Steve rubs Orpheus's thigh, his breath shuddering. "But when you're getting ready to fuck me, that's--oh, that's wonderful."

He smiles and kisses Steve's shoulder as he reaches for the lube.

"Tell me?"

He watches Orpheus with dark eyes, his lips parted. "Tell you what?"

"Tell me what's wonderful about it."

He nuzzles along Steve's hairline, squeezing some lube onto his fingers and warming it before reaching between Steve's legs to finger him open.

"Ah!" Steve groans, arching, and he clutches a pillow. "Because it's--oh--physical proof, yes, there, that I can hold in my hands, mm, that you want me, that you want to fuck me."

Orpheus groans softly at the tone of Steve's voice, the breaks, the sounds he makes. "Irrefutable?" he murmurs, working carefully to make sure Steve is ready for him, fingers lingering where they get the best reactions.

"Undeniable," Steve gasps, pushing back his hips to take Orpheus's fingers.

"So glad I can give you that, lovely," he murmurs, pressing a kiss to the top of Steve's spine.
