Orpheus wasn't entirely sure the ring would work as a way for him to get to Steve's world, but he was going to give it a shot. If it didn't work, he'd explain it to Steve the next time they were both in the bar, and they could figure something else out.

His guitar slung across his back, Orpheus turns the ring on his finger and opens the door, pleased to find himself in Steve's apartment when he steps through.

"Told you. Overdid it." He yawns. "I'm so glad you're here. I missed you."

Orpheus kisses Steve's shoulder, pressing his hand to Steve's heart. "I missed you too, lovely."

Steve beams and snuggles back against him.


"Hey, do you want a real breakfast? Or I guess it would be brunch by now." He makes a face. Brunch.

Orpheus chuckles, running his nose along Steve's hairline. "Food sounds good."

"We can go out--there's a diner a couple blocks from here that does great waffles. Or I can can cook something."


[ooc: also, *cackles*]

"Let's go out," Orpheus says, pushing himself up with a smile. "If you're up to it."

"I think I'm up to it now. Shower? You're going to love it. It's bigger than my first apartment."

[golden_lyre]

He laughs as he climbs out of bed. "Your shower is?"

"Yeah," says Steve, climbing out after him. "My first apartment was really, really tiny. Bucky and I practically had to turn over in shifts when we slept."

[golden_lyre]

He grins. "So it's not actually that big of a shower?" he teases.

"It's bigger than any shower I've had before." He throws open the door to the bathroom dramatically. "A family of twelve could live in here. Probably did, before the building was renovated."

Orpheus laughs as he steps in. "Impressive."

Steve grins at him and goes to turn on the steam shower. "The first time I stepped in here I thought I'd never seen so much marble outside of a museum."

He smiles and slides up behind Steve. "It reminds me of home."

Steve turns back his head to give him a quick kiss, and pulls him into the shower.

Orpheus happily steps in after him.

Steve is still smiling as he picks up the soap.

"Where would you like me to start?"

[golden_lyre]

He loops his arms around Steve's shoulders. "Anywhere you like, my love."

Steve kisses him as he starts to rub the bar of soap over Orpheus's back.

Orpheus smiles, leaning his forehead against Steve's and humming a simple, sweet, satisfied tune.

Steve brings the soap to Orpheus's chest and lathers him slowly.

Orpheus pulls back a little, smiling and watching Steve's face.

Steve has a look of tender concentration as he washes Orpheus's arms and shoulders.

"You are beautiful, my love," Orpheus murmurs, smiling and kissing him again.

Steve chuckles and kisses him. "So are you, sweetheart."
